Hotshoe is a photography magazine, that showcases photo portfolios, with a multitude of voices and opinions that include some of the most influential names in photography today. It's been in print since 1977.

In this issue: A West African Portrait explores photography from West Africa and was made in partnership with Autograph, London and David Hill Gallery. The work and voices of artists Leonce Raphael Agbodjelou, Samuel Fosso, Rachida Bissirou and Seydou Keita, among others, look to address questions such as "what sets West African photography apart" and "how has it changed over time". The Crude Metaphors section features a brilliant piece by Sala Elise Patterson titled Hoarding the Porto Novo Night and there are reviews of four newly published photography books.
