Posterzine #76
Posterzine is People of Print’s monthly publishing project, which aims to create affordable art for the masses. Each issue is made in collaboration with a different artist or designer to create a stunning hybrid piece: a mini-magazine which folds out into a gorgeous A1 format poster printed on G.F.Smith Papers, featuring exclusive interviews in woven throughout.
It is the only poster in the world that is registered with the British Library as a magazine. Posterzine is published by People of Print (In Perpetuum) in partnership with Pressision Printers & Finishers & G.F. Smith Papers.
Issue 076: Font People
-
This issue of Posterzine® not only showcases the incredible type foundry FontPeople, but launches a custom font for Grafik Media Ltd. The typeface named GRAFIK BLACK is a headline font designed to reflect the strong-willed and independent nature of Grafik Media. It is helping to fund the relaunch of Grafik magazine, a bi-monthly publication featuring the world’s leading graphic design and visual culture. To create the Grafik typeface, Posterzine® teamed up with FontPeople — the world’s first full-service independent type foundry. In just two years, FontPeople has grown from concept to a foundry with a 20-strong font library. Here Founder Jason Harcombe talks through the thinking behind Grafik Black, his quest for simplicity, and how his foundry is democratising type.
- Includes a fold out A1 poster.
