This zine is not your lawyer
“This zine is not your lawyer” is an editorial piece meant to summarize the Canadian Copyright Act in a fun and educational format for visual artists of all styles. In the modern world with everything from uncredited reposting to selling your designs on a shirt to AI, you can’t expect yourself to know everything that both protects and limits you as an artist. While I am not a lawyer, I can tell you to make the art you want to make. We’re in this together.
About the maker: "After graduating from design school I felt like I missed so many areas of design. I majored in advertising which forced me to dig deep into the conceptual side but also meant the design side was lacking. A younger me would’ve sulked, designer me decided to just get better."
