Everything I Wish I Had Known About Print

Regular price $12.99

This joyful project summarizes all the valuable lessons I had learned from mistakes I made when it came to working with print, also largely inspired by my two years of working at a print shop and seeing the mistakes students commonly made. By working in the colourful and inherently imperfect medium of Riso printing, the publication is made sincerely un-pretentious and visually approachable, featuring lighthearted quips, advice, and illustrated diagrams. The small format unfolds into four-page spreads of illustrations, graphics, and key terms that a designer would need to approach the world of print. When further unraveled, the single sheet zine forms an 11x17 poster reading "for the love of print" on the back side. This zine has been very well received when presented at GradEx 2024 and TCAF, it is the perfect informational guide to add to Issues Zine Shine!

About the maker: Danielle Vizelter is a graphic designer, illustrator, and self proclaimed paper-gremlin with a passion for print and tangible mediums. Recently graduated from OCADU, my most recent work focuses on the need for printed media in an overwhelmingly digital world and the creative opportunities only afforded through working with paper.
