A zine about queer and trans cinema, compiling my thoughts, as a t-boy, on six of my all time fave films. These films serve as evidence for myself that I’m not completely crazy, I am just a story that isn’t largely documented, though trans and queer people’s inventions are innovations of heart. This zine is to thank those who led the pursuit of these queer and trans films. They make me feel less crazy.
About the maker:
My name is Miru Yogarajah and I am a documentary filmmaker, writer, community organizer, and researcher. Through my storytelling praxis, I carry with me my trans identity, and a deep commitment to care and thoughtfulness. My work illuminates the stories of being a person on the margins, while exploring tensions between possibility and precarity.
