Each issue offers a curated blend of editorial features, fashion-forward photo stories, and insightful commentary, with athletes seen through the lens of top fashion voices, and fashion explored from the unique viewpoints of sporting icons. Expect striking covers, premium visuals, and compelling storytelling. Whether you're a fan of football, fashion, or both, Players offers a unique look into how these two worlds collide and inspire one another.
Inside this issue:
- Spike Lee: As part of our series Game On, Lee stepped into Sorrenti’s studio to create images that captured a true “New York moment.” Read about what happened on that iconic day.
- Dexter Navy: For this issue, we tapped Navy, the genre-defying photographer and director, to bring his raw yet cinematic vision to life. To make something new, he found he had to excavate his past in Egypt.
- Dwayne Wade: He turned style into currency. In his 16-year NBA career, Dwyane Wade set the blueprint for the future of NBA style—both in the way the game is played and how it looks off the court. We talked about social media’s impact on the game, finding your flag as a young player, rule changes in the NBA, and what he wants his legacy to be.
- Lara Stone: As a tribute to the iconic 2004 Vogue Paris cover, we created a multi-page editorial inspired by that image with supermodel Lara Stone, shot by British photographer Nick Knight and styled by Carine Roitfeld.
- Jerry Lorenze: Lorenzo is part of a long lineage of American designers who have redefined American fashion: Perry Ellis, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and, yes, Rick Owens. But more than any other designer, his approach is deeply rooted in a lived athletic life.
