Director of 421, Faisal Al Hassan speaks to Gulf futurism and the numerous changes occurring in the regions now. Saudi Arabia's SINBAD Collective reflect on their nomadic exhibition practise. Filmmaker Mohammah Alfaraj and writer Róisín Tapponi discuss depicting flight and flux in a land undergoing immense transformation. Elsewhere this issue features work on the horrors of the gulf war, the "pre-oil world," and the multiple histories and communities which transcend the political borders of the region.
