Fukt #23

FUKT is a magazine for contemporary drawing and illustration. Ad free with occasional interviews and essays, platforming emerging talent and established artists. The design and theme changes for each issue. FUKT is known for its unrestricted layout and distinct covers.

In this issue: The Sound Issue

This cover of fukt #23 is a musical instrument in itself - transparent ridges invite the reader to drag their fingers across, mimicking a Güiro. The Sound Issue of fukt traces the relation between sound and drawing. Graphic notations, the architectures of listening, typefaces of in-between sounds (sighs, laughs, hums, murmurs), the unner sound of thought,  the oramics machine, the politics of sound for deaf artists, cyanotypes of sound, cetacean calligraphy, & beyond. As always, this issue holds like a precious notebook and reads like a whimsical encyclopedia.
