Log #66

Log is a journal about architectural thinking and production in the contemporary city. A collection of essays, interviews, observations. Log platforms an international exchange of ideas, criticism, and commentary in a dynamic literary formant. The journal publishes both open and thematic issues.

in this issue: Walls

"The words of the prophet are written on the subway walls..." - Simon & Garfunkel

Log #66 ambitiously and poetically asks: What is a wall? What is behind it? What is inside it? The ubiquitous architectural element is at once a support, a canvas, a barricade, a boundary, and a political actor that enables both justice and injustice. Contributors addresses these questions and expands on these uses through observations on digital walls, an orange snake, a border spectacle, a mouse-hole, the thinnest wall, a toe kick, memorial murals, a backyard, and beyond.
