Experiences of Being on Low-Dose Testosterone: the Queer and Trans Asian Edition

This zine is rooted in the artist’s experience as a queer and transmasculine Korean-Canadian and was created in response to the lack of accessible information around low-dose testosterone. Structured as a timeline, the zine combines personal reflection, observation, and explanation to document bodily changes from the perspective of someone who struggled to find resources from other trans East Asian people while beginning low-dose transition. Drawing from informal community knowledge and self-documentation practices, the work hopes to act as a resource for others exploring low-dose HRT, particularly trans people of colour navigating similar gaps in representation and information.

scrapdogarts (he/they) is a queer and trans BIPOC artist with a love for zines, prints, and tiny trinkets that tell big stories. Always driven by dog-themed chaos and a lot of heart, his work is a kind of scrap-collecting that turns lived experience into art.
