Magazine C #5, K Chair
A sister publication to Magazine B (brands) and Magazine F (food), Magazine C (chairs) focuses on one iconic chair per issue. You might want to sit down for this.
Issue #5, The K Chair
The K Chair, first introduced by Karimoku Furniture in 1962, reflects the steady, Japanese spirit of monozukuri (an attitude of creating with craftsmanship, sincerity, and deep respect for materials and process). In 2002, designer Kenmei Nagaoka’s 60 Vision project brought renewed attention to Karimoku's philosophy, and positioned the K Chair as an icon of 1960s Japanese design.
