REGIONAL ARCHIVE ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE
Nicole Beno spent her summer trading the studio for the playground. Guided by
her toddler, she’s been park-hopping and splash-padding, tuning into the
colourful, overlooked worlds hidden in everyday routines. Think slides, springs, sticky hands, sand in the mouth. Known for turning ordinary objects into
striking, hand-meets-digital imagery, Beno’s In Between the Sidewalk Cracks
is a meditation on slowing down and seeing like a kid again.
The Regional Archive x Issues Magazine Shop Artist-in-Residence program extends the art from the printed page to the liminal space of the shop, creating new opportunities to feature artists working in print and on paper.
This show will be mounted through October 25, 2026.
