Girls Like Us is an independent magazine turning the spotlight on an international expanding community of women and transpeople within arts, culture and activism. Through personal stories, essays and vanguard visuals the magazine unfolds feminist legacies in arts and writing. Mixing politics with pleasure, each thematic issue maps collaborative routes towards non-patriarchy.

In this issue: The Vortex

This issue of Girls Like Us is a special collaborative publication with Mothers & Daughters, a Brussels based lesbian* & trans* bar. After eight years of operating as a community project for trans and lesbian people in Brussels and around, Mothers & Daughters is wrapping up. The Vortex is an ode to the this community and space featuring new original writing, essays, conversations, photography, visual works, and activist resources from the M&D family and allies. The Vortex is a gathering place for future trans and lesbian organizing in Brussels and beyond.
