Erotic Review #5

First launched in 1995, then dormant for almost 15 years, The Erotic Review has relaunched as a literary and art forward publication exploring desire for contemporary audience. Each issue commissions a different art curator, and features essays, stories, poetry, art, and translated works. 

In this issue: 

The 5th issue of Erotic Review considers censorship, expression, "obscenity," "morally correctness," the impact of hiding desires, and what can and cannot be published in 2026. In editor Lucy Roeber's essay "Sex not Seggs" she reflects on the past 3 years of the review, and the struggle to exist online. Art curator Sam Ashby showcases 3 archives  of "Collected Desires" spanning the photographic and pornographic, the self representational and exploitative, the illicit, and the foundational. Plus, all night fiction at the Chelsea Hotel, A prose penile life cycle, poems, shorts, reviews, and other crucial explorations of desire.
